All Skill levels can be built upon, but a solid foundation is most important. A crawl to walk, walk to run approach is utilized as students’ progress into more complex skill sets and safety is of absolute importance at all times.

Scenario based training is used to enforce realism in situations where decision making is just as important as being skilled with a firearm. Force-on-force drills utilizing safe, inert laser training or airsoft weapons are available upon request.

Dry fire classes are available with actual firearms in conjunction with Laser Academy or TitanX Mantis systems. Research shows that proper dry fire training improves trigger management, grip, stance, sight picture and alignment. It can help identify and eliminate the flinch reflex associated with recoil anticipation that is common for new shooters. Dry fire is also safer and a more cost-effective supplement to live fire.

Certified and Insured Firearms Instructor

My name is Christopher Michael Jimenez. I was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. For the last 10 years, my family and I have lived in Monroe Center, Illinois.

Firearms have been my passion and hobby for over 30 years. Starting with bb and pellet guns at around 8 years old, I learned the basics of safety and marksmanship. I obtained my Hunter Safety Certification and FOID when I was 18 years old. I was an avid paintballer through all of my 20’s, learning much about movement, tactics. and communication while under stress. I have trained with high level local instructors in force on force and active shooter scenarios. Over the years, I have studied some of the best firearms instructor’s material extensively. I obtained my Concealed Carry License in 2014 and have gained valuable knowledge through the trial and error of daily carry and the lifestyle surrounding it. I help family and friends improve their skills as a fun way of teaching what I have learned. I have always taken the initiative to keep my skills sharp and to never stop learning.

Throughout my life, I’ve learned some of my most valuable lessons from the school of hard knocks. I have experienced many different types of “hard knock scenarios”. Most of us will at some point in our lives. Navigating obstacles and overcoming adversity becomes second nature out of necessity and survival. A most positive mindset and forward movement seem to be key. Maybe then we have a unique opportunity to learn a good lesson from these hard past experiences and use this knowledge to avoid these types of scenarios in the future. At this point in my life, I am creating a job for myself that I love, and I feel that it would provide a good service to the community by offering education and training in self-sustainability. I would be able to share all of the ways that I have walked through my journey in hopes that it may help whoever is willing to help themselves.

Let’s begin the conversation.
